Bloem Law was proud to support the next generation of criminal advocates by participating in the Len Andersen KC Moot (the CBA Student Moot), hosted by Auckland University of Technology. The competition brought together students from AUT Law School and the Auckland Law School, University of Auckland providing an outstanding opportunity for aspiring advocates to develop and showcase their advocacy skills in a courtroom setting.

The Bloem Law team were privileged to contribute to the competition throughout the week. Hussain and Ivan judged the preliminary rounds with Hussain returning to judge the semi-finals and the Grand Final, alongside Dr Paulette Benton-Greig, Tracey Hu and Rosanna Wu.

The standard of advocacy throughout the competition was exceptional, culminating in a final that demonstrated the remarkable preparation, professionalism, and advocacy skills of participating students. Congratulations to Lauren Petch and Jess Weston from Auckland University of Technology, who were announced as the winners of the Len Andersen KC Moot at the Criminal Bar Association Annual Conference Dinner.
