We are grateful to be part of the 2nd NZ Hindu Women Conference 2026 at the Swaminarayan Complex, Papatoetoe, where this year's theme was Women Entrepreneurs - Leading Progress, Powering Prosperity.

Ashima Singh, Co-founder & Partner, at Legal Associates, shared her story, her journey throughout the last 15 years as a Solicitor, as the first Indian-origin Notary Public in NZ, Rotary District Lawyer and as the source of inspiration for women across communities.

Her examplary career not only underscores the value of sheer grit and perseverance but also lays a strong foundation for young Hindu women aspiring to achieve their dreams in this era driven by hard work and commitment.

15 years in the law. ❤️

A milestone that feels both significant and strangely a unreal dream.

What started with finding my place in the profession has led to becoming a Partner at Legal Associates and the privilege of becoming the first Indian-born woman notary.

I’m grateful for the people, the opportunities, the challenges and, most of all, the trust placed in me over the years.

15 years later, I’m still learning, still grateful, and looking forward to what comes next.

15 years today. And honestly, it’s a little surreal.
From finding my feet in the law to becoming a Partner at Legal Associates, and having the honour of becoming the first Indian-born woman notary — it has been quite a journey.

There have been long days, big challenges, wonderful people and plenty of moments that reminded me why I chose this profession.

To our community and every client who has trusted me over the years: thank you. Truly.

I feel incredibly humbled by how far this journey has taken me — and even more curious about what the next chapter holds.

Honoured to be invited by Age Concern Auckland to present “Talk About Wills and Enduring Powers of Attorney” at The Park Community Centre, Flat Bush.

Ashima Singh, Partner, at Legal Associates and Sharmila Prasad, Legal Executive, shared practical insights on wills, and Enduring Powers of Attorney, helping local seniors better understand important decisions for the future.
