⚖️🇦🇿 EYBA Visits the Supreme Court of Azerbaijan | Baku 2026

As part of the EYBA Autumn Conference 2026, our participants had the opportunity to visit the Supreme Court of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

During the visit, our colleagues learned about the Court’s structure and functions, its role within the Azerbaijani judicial system, and recent developments in the country’s judicial framework.

Participants also explored the Plenum Hall and the Museum of Judicial History, gaining valuable insights into the history and evolution of Azerbaijan’s judiciary.

Visits like this are an important part of the EYBA experience, offering young lawyers the opportunity to discover different legal systems, exchange perspectives, and strengthen professional connections across borders. 🌍🤝

🇦🇿🇪🇺 EYBA General Meeting | Baku 2026

Following a wonderful evening at the Azerbaijan State Philharmonic Hall, EYBA members gathered the next morning at ADA University in Baku for our General Meeting, held as part of the EYBA Autumn Conference 2026.

The meeting provided an opportunity to reflect on our Association’s recent activities, discuss ongoing initiatives and future priorities, welcome a new member from Spain, and elect the members of the Audit Committee for 2026–2027.

Our President, Mathijs van Riet, joined us online and expressed his appreciation to the Azerbaijan Bar Association for its excellent organisation and warm hospitality.

A sincere thank you to our Azerbaijani colleagues and everyone who contributed to the meeting.

🎻 An Unforgettable Evening of Music in Baku! 🇦🇿🇪🇺

During the EYBA Autumn Conference 2026, our participants had the pleasure of attending a wonderful classical music concert at the Azerbaijan State Academic Philharmonic Hall, named after Muslim Magomayev.

Performed by the Azerbaijan State Chamber Orchestra named after Gara Garayev, the concert brought together Azerbaijani and international classical music in a truly memorable setting. 🎶

Beyond the legal discussions and professional exchanges, evenings like this remind us that EYBA is also about building friendships, discovering different cultures, and bringing young lawyers from across Europe closer together.

Our sincere thanks to the Azerbaijan Bar Association AR Vəkillər Kollegiyası for its generous hospitality and for organising such a special cultural experience.
