Owen Beattie was delighted to attend and speak on behalf of his client, Neil Latimer, at an event in Lurgan last Thursday, 10 September.

The event focused on Neil’s story, as told in his book Conviction.

Neil is one of the UDR Four and was convicted of a Troubles-related murder in 1983. For more than 40 years, Neil has maintained his innocence and continues to fight for truth and justice.

We remain committed to taking the necessary steps to advance Neil’s bid to overturn his conviction and to ensuring that his case continues to receive the careful and dedicated attention it deserves.

When Owen Beattie Solicitors was established in September 2022, Owen had a clear vision: to create a modern law firm offering strategic and dedicated legal advice, tailored to each and every client.

We continue to represent our client in High Court proceedings against the Public Prosecution Service (PPS) and Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI), seeking damages for alleged misfeasance and malicious prosecution, following our client’s formal acquittal of drug charges earlier this year.
