Today marks 10-years since Senior Associate, Rebecca Eaton joined GQ, and what an impressive decade it’s been.

It’s also a milestone shared in many ways with Partner Lauren Wallace, who she's worked alongside since day one.🤝

Together, they’ve become a powerhouse resource management and local government duo, advocating for clients across Aotearoa on major infrastructure, energy and commercial projects, winning cases in the High Court and Court of Appeal and advising local authorities on significant planning processes, including NPDC’s award-winning District Plan.

Both are highly respected practitioners in their field, with Lauren now President of the national Resource Management Law Association and Rebecca Chair of its Taranaki Branch.

A warm welcome to Holly, the newest addition to our Property and Commercial team 👋

Holly joins us as a Legal Executive, bringing 12 years’ experience in the legal industry and an earlier career in real estate sales, so it’s fair to say she knows residential property pretty well.

One thing we’re quickly learning about Holly? Her preferred modes of transport are anything but conventional... She races around the country in jetsprinting competitions, loves horses and has recently started flying lessons! ✈️🏇

Congratulations to Lauren Wallace on 20 years at GQ! 👏

If you know Lauren, you'll know she's a phenomenal lawyer and leader. We're incredibly proud to call her one of our own.

Over the past two decades, Lauren has earned a reputation as one of New Zealand's leading resource management and environmental lawyers, advising local authorities, energy and infrastructure operators, iwi, national corporations and community groups across Aotearoa on some of the country's most complex legal matters.

Alongside her legal practice, Lauren currently serves as President of the Resource Management Law Association, is a trustee of Wild for Taranaki, honorary solicitor for the Friends of the Govett Brewster Art Gallery / Len Lye Centre, a committee member of Taranaki Women in Leadership, and has previously held a number of other community roles.
