A wonderful win for TDA Immigration and Student Services this week.

Many couples come to New Zealand to work hard, contribute to our communities, and build a better future. Sometimes, while they are here, they receive the blessing of welcoming a child.

However, when circumstances change, families can face unexpected immigration challenges. A child born or living in New Zealand may not automatically qualify for a visa just because one parent is able to support a partner’s visa.

This week’s approval was a great result for one of our families, and an important reminder:

Just because your visa allows you to support your partner, it does not always mean you can support a child. The rules can be different for partners and dependent children.

If your family circumstances have changed, especially if you have had a baby while in New Zealand, it is important to get advice early so your child can remain lawful in New Zealand.

At TDA Immigration and Student Services, we are here to help families understand their options and move forward with confidence.

πŸŽ‰ Visa Approved – Partnership Work Visa πŸŽ‰

A big congratulations to our client on the approval of their Partnership Work Visa.

This application was a little challenging due to limited relationship evidence. Not every couple collects documents with a future visa application in mind, and sometimes simple things, like updating addresses, can be missed.

At TDA Immigration and Student Services, we worked carefully to provide a full explanation, address the concerns, and present the relationship clearly to Immigration New Zealand.

Today, we are happy to share that the visa has been approved.

Every relationship is different, and every application needs to be prepared with care.

🌟 A beautiful client success story β€” character waiver approved 🌟

At TDA Immigration and Student Services, we know that immigration matters can be stressful, especially when previous mistakes or poor advice have affected a client’s visa history.

We are proud to share this heartfelt review from one of our clients, who came to New Zealand in 2023 to study and later faced serious visa difficulties after previous visa refusal history was not properly declared by another agency. This led to a partner visa decline and a long period of stress, uncertainty, and hardship.

The client later found TDA Immigration and was assisted by our TDA adviser, Hong D**g, also known as Daisy.

Daisy carefully reviewed the case, reorganised the evidence, rebuilt the legal argument, and helped the client present a clear, honest, and evidence-based response to Immigration New Zealand. She also supported the client in making formal complaints about the previous unlicensed agency.

One message Daisy shared with the client was:

β€œWhat Immigration New Zealand cares about is not how pitiful you are, but whether you have facts and evidence.”

After a very difficult journey, our client has now received their visa, with the character waiver successfully approved.

We are so happy for our client and grateful they trusted TDA Immigration during such an important time in their life.

This case is also a strong reminder: always be careful when choosing an immigration adviser. Make sure your adviser is licensed, responsible, honest, and professional.

Congratulations to our client, and well done Daisy for your hard work, patience, and dedication. πŸ’™

An amazing win for a mother and child who have been with us for over four years.

This brave mother came to us after claiming asylum in New Zealand. She had already been through an extremely difficult journey and had sadly been taken advantage of by people who pretended to help her.

There were setbacks, long waits, and many emotional moments, but we kept fighting.

We are so grateful to share that her appeal has now been allowed, and this mother and child have been recognised as refugees in New Zealand.

β€œHe waka eke noa” β€” We are all in this canoe together.

This whakataukΔ« feels right for this journey. When a client is with you for so many years, they become like family. We walk the hard road together, carry the hope together, and when the win finally comes, we feel it together.

Seeing this outcome was emotional, powerful, and honestly tearful.

This is why we do what we do β€” helping people find safety, dignity, and hope.

Congratulations to this wonderful mother and child. We are honoured to have walked beside you.

πŸŽ‰ Work Visa Approved!

We are very happy to celebrate another Accredited Employer Work Visa approval.

This was one of those applications where the details mattered. We carefully broke down the client’s work experience, organised the supporting evidence, and explained how their practical industry experience met the visa requirements.

A big congratulations to our client β€” we are so pleased for you and excited for this next step in your New Zealand journey. πŸ‡³πŸ‡ΏπŸŒΏ

Another important win for TDA Immigration and Student Services.

We recently assisted a client who had become liable for deportation due to a conviction.

After strong representation, Immigration New Zealand decided to suspend the client’s deportation liability for three years, allowing the client the chance to remain in New Zealand and continue moving forward.

This was a serious matter and a powerful reminder that getting the right immigration advice early can make a real difference.

At TDA Immigration and Student Services, we stand beside our clients through complex and stressful immigration situations with honesty, care, and commitment.

A strong Job Check application requires:

βœ… Clear evidence that New Zealanders were considered
βœ… Accurate documentation
βœ… A well-prepared application that meets immigration requirements

β€œMā te tika me te pono, ka angitu te mahi.”

Kia Ora everyone,

Another great result for one of our clients πŸŽ‰

We submitted this Skilled Migrant Residence application in December 2025, and it was approved this week β€” with no concerns raised by Immigration New Zealand.

This is a reminder that when an application is prepared properly from the beginning, with the right supporting evidence and clear documentation, the process can move smoothly and without unnecessary delays.

At TDA Immigration and Student Services, we focus on submitting strong, decision-ready applications to help give our clients the best possible outcome.

Congratulations to our client on their New Zealand Residence approval πŸ‡³πŸ‡Ώ

🌟 ANOTHER SECTION 61 SUCCESS 🌟

Kia Ora everyone,

Great news for one of our clients! πŸ™Œ
We applied for a Section 61 Work Visa on 7 April 2026 and this week the visa was APPROVED βœ…

Section 61 requests can be very stressful and complex, especially when a person is in New Zealand without a valid visa. Every case requires careful preparation, strong supporting documents, and clear explanations to Immigration New Zealand.

We are thankful to have helped another client receive a positive outcome and the opportunity to continue their journey in New Zealand legally. πŸ‡³πŸ‡Ώ

At TDA Immigration & Student Services, we work hard to present complete applications and support our clients through difficult situations with honesty and care.

If you or someone you know needs help with:

Kia ora everyone,

I’ve just shared a video about Visitor Visas and one of the most important parts of a strong application: home ties.

When Immigration New Zealand looks at a visitor visa application, they want to understand whether the person is a genuine visitor and whether they are likely to return home after their visit.

Strong home ties can include things like:

βœ… Family responsibilities
βœ… Employment or business commitments
βœ… Property or assets
βœ… Study commitments
βœ… Financial responsibilities
βœ… Community, cultural, or personal obligations in your home country

Every person’s situation is different, and the evidence needs to clearly show why you will return home at the end of your visit.

At TDA Immigration and Student Services, we help clients prepare clear, honest, and well-supported visa applications.

If you are planning to visit New Zealand and are unsure what documents you need, get in touch with us.
