Our Congressional Spotlight series recognizes lawmakers who support credit union priorities and the communities they serve.

Today, we’re highlighting U.S. Rep. Kathy Castor (FL-14), who has long championed policies that strengthen communities and expand financial opportunity.

Representative Castor has been a strong supporter of CDFI credit unions and continued CDFI funding, as well as a vocal advocate and cosponsor of the Credit Union Board Modernization Act. In recognition of her leadership and support of the credit union movement, The League honored her as its 2022 Lawmaker of the Year.

We appreciate Representative Castor’s continued partnership and support of initiatives that help credit unions better serve their members and communities.
