The League hosted U.S. Senator and Alabama gubernatorial candidate, Coach Tommy Tuberville, ahead of the general election.

The meeting brought together his team and credit union CEOs from across Alabama for lunch and a conversation about priorities for the upcoming lame-duck session and his plans for Alabama if elected governor.

Thank you to Southern Energy Credit Union for hosting, to the credit union leaders who joined us, and to Senator Tuberville for taking the time to meet with Alabama’s credit union community.

It has been such a great few days at this year’s INSPIRE, in partnership with the Carolinas Credit Union League. We’re grateful for the opportunity to bring together women from across the credit union movement for meaningful conversations, leadership insights and connections that will continue beyond the event.

We wrapped up INSPIRE with a morning focused on leadership, service and connection.

We started the morning with a roundtable discussion before hearing from Tiffany Greenway, Senior Director of Effectiveness and Operations, Digital Transformation and Technology at Chick-fil-A Corporate Support Center, who shared leadership lessons from Chick-fil-A.

This afternoon, INSPIRE, was filled with powerful stories and meaningful conversations.

We kicked things off with an Executive Panel featuring Kara Cardona, Chief Operating Officer of Navy Federal Credit Union; Liz Ponder, CEO of SRP Federal Credit Union; and Jan Page, CEO of Community South Credit Union.

We then heard stories of survival, healing and rising with Patty Corkery, President and CEO of Michigan Credit Union League & Affiliates and Navari; Linda Weatherford, CEO of SPC Credit Union; and Meredith Harrison, Supermom of Carter, Carter’s Tribe.

It’s been a great day of learning, connection and inspiration.

We officially kicked off Day One of INSPIRE with a morning full of powerful conversations and new perspectives.

Penny Ford, Co-Founder and COO of Brilliant Beyond Belief and Founder of Burton Hathow Preparatory School, opened the day with a conversation about women leading at their highest level.

We then heard from Dr. Su Rayburn, Vice President of Information Management and Analytics at Delta Community Credit Union, who led a conversation on serving the whole person in the age of agentic AI.

It’s been a great morning of learning, connection and inspiration, and we’re looking forward to the rest of the day!

Yesterday, we kicked off INSPIRE, in partnership with the Carolinas Credit Union League, with an evening of connection at our Cocktails and Caftans Reception!

It was a great opportunity to gather with fellow credit union leaders, reconnect with friends and make new connections ahead of a full day of inspiration, leadership and learning.

We’re looking forward to an exciting day ahead!

Hurricane Isaias hit the Pensacola community hard, and many residents are still working to recover.

Last week, Gulf Winds Credit Union, soon to be TruWorth Credit Union, presented a $50,000 check to United Way of West Florida to support local recovery efforts.

Credit unions are built on the philosophy of people helping people, and this generous contribution is a meaningful example of that commitment in action.

Last week, The League hosted congressional candidate Jim Kingston at Marshland Credit Union ahead of the general election.

Joined by Interstate Credit Union and Glynn County Federal Employees Credit Union, we discussed affordability challenges, efforts to address housing costs in the district, and how credit unions continue to support economic and community development.
