The Addams Family appeared at Kentucky ElderLaw for Halloween, but they weren’t the only ones who dressed for the occasion. Barbie made an entrance, Cruella brought her Dalmatians, and the costumes kept getting better as more of the team arrived.

We had a lot of fun seeing what our team came up with this year.

If your mom or dad needed more help someday, do you know what they would want?

Long-Term Care Awareness Month is a gentle reminder to ask while there’s time for a real conversation. You might start with where they’d feel most comfortable receiving care, what help they would welcome at home, and whom they would want involved in decisions.

You don’t have to settle every detail over one cup of coffee. Listening is a good place to begin.

We joined the Kentuckiana Senior Expo this week and enjoyed seeing so many older adults and families connect with local organizations in one place. The free event offered health screenings, refreshments, and prize drawings, with plenty of opportunities to discover resources close to home.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to talk with Kentucky ElderLaw. We enjoyed being part of a day centered on our Louisville community.

🍂Leaves crunching beneath your feet.
👻 Children bundled in costumes that need a jacket by the end of the night.

And neighbors sitting outside with bowls full of candy, catching up with everyone who walks by.

These simple traditions are part of what makes our Kentucky and Indiana communities feel like home.
