I keep seeing brand deals with AI clauses buried in the fine print — and most creators don't catch them until it's too late. Right now in the US, a bill called the NO FAKES Act just passed committee (still not law), and eight states already have laws letting you sue over unauthorized AI clones of your voice or face. Every creator needs a floor for what they'll accept:
1️⃣ Any AI alteration gets disclosed to you
2️⃣ You give written consent for each specific use
3️⃣ AI rights get paid separately from your base rate
4️⃣ You get final approval before anything goes live
An influencer sued a brand this year over an alleged AI-altered version of her content posted without her okay — proof this isn't hypothetical anymore.
Not legal advice — talk to an entertainment lawyer before you sign anything.
Have you ever found an AI clause in a contract you almost missed?
