One of the things I see people struggle with most when contemplating separation is wanting to know exactly what life will look like afterwards.

Where will I live?

Will I be financially okay?

What will happen with the children?

Will I ever feel like myself again?

The truth is, you probably won't have all those answers at the beginning.

You don't need them all.

You need good information, the right support and enough clarity to make the next decision.

Then the one after that.

After more than 20 years working with people through separation, I've seen many lives look very different on the other side.

You don't have to have your whole future figured out before you're allowed to start changing it. ❤️

Separation can make **everything** feel worth fighting about.

The unfair comment.
The lie.
The $500 item.
The need to prove what "really" happened.

But before you spend thousands of dollars, months of energy and countless hours thinking about it, ask yourself:

If I win this fight, what will actually change?

Some battles absolutely need to be fought.

Others just keep you tied to the conflict — and to your ex.

After more than 20 years in family law, I think one of the most important questions isn't always:

Am I right?

Sometimes it's:

Is this worth what it will cost me?

Money matters.

But so do your time, your energy and your peace.

❤️ Save this for the day when everything feels worth fighting about.

Funny how returning somewhere can make you realise how much you've changed. 🇦🇺
Same ocean.
Same skyline.
Same places.
But you're not necessarily the same person who left.
Sometimes going back isn't really about going backwards at all.
Sometimes it shows you just how far you've come.
❤️

Back on the Gold Coast 🌴✨

There is something about coming back to a place that has been part of your life that feels a little different each time.

Life changes. Plans change. Sometimes we change.

But tonight, looking at this view, I'm simply thinking:
It's really good to be back. ❤️

And I'm excited about what comes next.

Meet your inner team: The Overachiever, The People-Pleaser, and The Tired Queen who’s DONE.

If you’ve been through divorce, co-parenting drama, or a narcissist who drained your soul…
you already KNOW these three show up uninvited:

🔥 The Overachiever
Colour-coding your life, writing emails at 3am, and convincing you that peace can be “managed” if you just work harder.

🔥 The People-Pleaser
Apologising for things you didn’t do.
Terrified of upsetting anyone.
Has never had a boundary survive for more than 24 hours.

🔥 The Tired Queen
CEO of “I’m so over this.”
Mentally moved to a cabin in the woods (with a dog) three breakups ago.

Here’s the truth:
None of your parts are "bad". They’re trying to protect you from old wounds.
But they’re not meant to run your whole life.

Healing starts when YOU, the grounded, adult you, takes the lead and says:

“Thank you for trying to protect me… but I’ve got this now.”

👉 Comment which part is running your life today
👉 Share with someone who needs a laugh and a wake-up call
👉 Save this for later — especially on those chaotic days

Post-Breakup Superpowers

Ever noticed how the moment you separate… the spouse who “couldn’t possibly help” suddenly discovers superpowers?

Wild, isn’t it?
The person who never had time to:
🧺 fold a towel
🧽 clean a bench
🛒 remember milk
👶 take the kids to school
🛠️ fix anything
… suddenly has:
💈 a fresh haircut
🏋️‍♂️ a gym membership
🧴 new skincare routine
📅 “new boundaries”
📱 a mysterious ability to reply immediately…

It’s almost like they were never incapable, just unwilling when it did not benefit them.
Humour aside:

When you leave someone who drains you, you stop carrying their weight… and they suddenly have energy to carry their own.

Comment “FREEDOM ENERGY” if you’ve witnessed this transformation. Save for later when you start doubting yourself.

They call January Divorce Month.
But no one just wakes up and ends a marriage.
It builds, silently, for years.

Christmas doesn’t cause breakups.
It exposes them.

The arguments you ignored.
The cold shoulder that feels colder around the tree.
The promise of “next year will be better”… that never is.

So if you’re quietly thinking about leaving —
Don’t panic.

Prepare.

Here’s how to start smart:

💼 Talk to a lawyer, even one consult can save you thousands.
💳 Copy every financial document you can: bank, mortgage, super, trust deeds.
🧠 See a divorce coach, make an emotional exit plan, not a reactive one.
📁 Keep a record of messages, agreements, and key info.
💖 Start caring for you, clarity first, decisions later.

Because the people who walk out strongest in January…
Started planning quietly in November.

You don’t have to blow up your life to reclaim it.
You just have to start protecting your peace.

💬 Comment “PLAN” if you want my free pre-separation checklist — or message me privately if you’d rather keep it confidential.

When a narcissist says “I’m leaving” — or when you finally have to —
your nervous system doesn’t hear “divorce.”
It hears “danger.”

That’s why your hands shake.
Why your chest feels tight.
Why your brain can’t string a sentence together.

You’re not weak, you’re in shock.
Your body is doing its job: keeping you alive.

The goal isn’t to not feel anxious.
It’s to teach your body that it’s safe again.
That’s when you start to think clearly, plan wisely, and rebuild.

3 things to do when you feel emotionally overloaded:

1️⃣ Breathe slower than your panic.
Try a 4–7–8 rhythm — inhale for 4, hold for 7, exhale for 8.
It literally tells your brain: “We’re safe.”

2️⃣ Ground yourself in your senses.
Notice 5 things you can see, 4 you can touch, 3 you can hear.
It pulls you out of survival mode and back into now.

3️⃣ Reach out.
There’s truth in that old saying — a problem shared is a problem halved.
Sometimes, just saying it out loud is the first breath of relief.

If this hit a nerve, message me.
You don’t have to untangle the fear alone, even one grounded conversation can change the next 30 days.

🎄✨ “Surviving Christmas with a Narcissist”

It’s beginning to look a lot like… triggers.
Family drama, fake smiles, and your ex pretending to be Santa.

👉 Breathe. You don’t owe anyone your peace this Christmas.
You can say no and still be kind.
You can skip dinner and still be loved.
You can protect your peace and still have a merry Christmas.

🎁 Boundaries are the real gift this season.

Save this if you need the reminder, and tag a friend who’s doing Christmas solo but strong.

If you don’t have boundaries in place yet, or you keep breaking them, message me.
We’ll build your holiday survival plan together before the chaos hits.

29/10/2025

When the world slows down, your healing begins. 🌅

Everyone else is rushing into the holidays, but if you’re in the middle of a breakup or divorce, this season can feel like emotional whiplash.
The quiet feels heavier.
The days feel longer.
And somehow, you’re expected to keep smiling through it.

This summer, give yourself permission to slow down.
☀️ Journal instead of just scrolling.
🏖️ Sit in the sun and breathe.
🗓️ Plan soft days for when the kids are away, not punishment, just peace.
Stillness isn’t failure.
It’s your reset.

💬 Comment “RESET” if this hits home.
🔖 Save this for when you need the reminder.
