Saturday was a very busy day for Butterfly Compassion Community - BCC

We had a “think tank” and “ mood board” discussion with amazing group of women who share the values on inclusivity for all, and work on our sensory neurodivergent programs that are beginning to come together with an outline to move forward- inspiration, mahi, aroha, care🙏🦋❤️

Whilst we had some friends away, thankfully sharing of google docs , teams, and video there will be more sharing to come… before our planned hui at end of October 🙌🦋❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Thanks all for having hearts that shine and yes wings that fly 🦋

BCC Butterfly Compassion Community - BCC arranged a workshop event where Lesley from Repurpose Pals came and shared insights to 17 years of creating weighted toys for communities in comfort, care and reconnection to give to others who willingly share 🥰🙌🦋♻️♻️♻️♻️✅✅✅… landfill save, created and event prep, from schools to events, to gifting ❤️ Amazing 🙏❤️

I love learning from amazing peeps …today I enjoyed expertise from a group around a table putting ideas forward and discussing how and can we achieve what we want to in our Sensory area 🙌😍🤩🦋… the knowledge in the room was awesome - Trudy and Karen, together with La and the team will be just great !😍❤️

Then I had the opportunity to meet with Liz and Sarah … old saying is “chew the fat “ new saying is “seeking out knowledge expertise “ and experience and growing through understanding 🦋😍❤️😘

Has it been a great day for Butterfly Compassion Community - BCC or has it been rather fantastic 🤔🥰🦋

When women support women. Uplift, praise , recommend, suggest and encourage each other it’s always going to be rather remarkable 🦋

We Butterfly Compassion Community - BCC are grateful for the catch up and meeting of so many great organisations supporting our communities.

A huge thanks goes to Kathryn and to Emma for promoting and showcasing BCC and what we do and networking around further collaboration opportunities 🙏🦋🙏🦋❤️❤️

Truly thankful for the support shown and interest to our sleep sacs and the positivity about the quality and workmanship of our crafters utilising textile waste 🙏♻️🦋

Today was really busy with donations ..huge thanks community for us all Butterfly Compassion Community - BCC…yep I have a story to tell!

A mumma with two kiddies in car said could you get a sheet please to put over the donations as I get out of boot- the kids are happy to give you their toys - but if they see them again, they might change their mind!
Grabbed a sheet and two lollipops , and mumma got out great donations for us!
She said you know it’s great we can do this , you have helped both our children and myself as well when we truly needed it…
Thank you - what a full cycle moment and how precious was this story ❤️🦋
Genuine and true - we helped , you returned help and together we both have made a difference

My heart is singing … I’m sure yours is too😍🙏🦋❤️

Butterfly Compassion Community - BCC

It’s only Wednesday and elderly have been the focus in the last two days…

Service organisations- needing clothing for a 78 yr old gentleman- warm clothing and yes pants that go with a belt - doesn’t wear track pants.

A 72 yr old lady, needing warm clothing , very large sizing and blankets

A 84 year old man unwell and needing pj, slippers and a few extras for a short stay

When we say everyone is important we mean it :- remember to check on your neighbour, colleague, friend down the road and ensure all in our community are supported… just reach out - we don’t ask questions and our box ups are at no cost.

Certainly our service organisations are really busy and we are part of their flow on affect.

Elderly are important in our community 🙏❤️🦋… let’s help support where we can.. community supporting community 🤩

Today I spoke to a lovely number of people at Rebus Fitzherbert Ave, thanks to max and the team inviting me. It was really lovely to meet with you all and celebrate what Butterfly Compassion Community - BCC does within our community. A lovely card and a wee thank you 😘that our volunteer team will enjoy a morning tea shout x
I then met Kim at Terrace End Z Service Station, who was the beautiful person who spoke about us with their team when they were selecting charities for this event. Thank you Kim, so nice to say hi to you and your colleague, coffee and bits were great .

Waste minimisation … textile waste … another article several councils linked together for change further north.

At Butterfly Compassion Community - BCC what have we achieved in textile waste area:
1. We have a sleepsac designed and made from textile waste✅
2. We have repurposed , repaired, re given in Box ups over 120,000 items this year and still going …✅
3. Special occasions for events, for all sizes from 6 to 30 …coming soon.✅

Have we made a difference in Palmy 🤔♻️
