The rumour: "No one can apply for PR under Ontario anymore." Not true. But there ARE big OINP changes effective May 30, 2026 — the existing streams are scheduled to be revoked and replaced with a redesigned system of targeted pathways. Applications continue under the new criteria. The only thing that pauses OINP is the annual allocation quota being reached. If you were planning under an old stream, your case needs to be re-mapped.
