What could the Vaccine Injury Compensation Modernization Act mean for those impacted by vaccine injuries?

If passed, H.R. 9672 would make significant changes to the Vaccine Injury Compensation Program (VICP), including extending the filing deadline from 3 to 5 years, increasing the maximum compensation for pain and suffering to $600,000, and adding COVID-19 vaccines to the Vaccine Injury Table.

The proposed legislation also aims to address case backlogs and improve the efficiency of the program. As conversations around modernizing the VICP continue, we’re following the developments that could impact vaccine injury claimants and their families.
