Becoming a US citizen and the "new" N400 application requirements. There are new requirements for becoming a US citizen that many applicants are not aware of. These requirements are even more complicated than the requirements already in place. For example, having good moral character, public charge rules. This article was written before the beginning of Trumps second term. It predicted the gradual dismantling of asylum. I also predicted that in many posts. Well, its August 28, 2026 and this week it was announced that asylum applicants that came here on a B1/B2 may have their visas revoked while maintaining their asylum application. Now this is a giant step in ending the right of asylum in the US. It would be the largest mass revocation of visas (B1/B2) in the history of the United States.

The Trump administration is achieving its unspoken goal of ending the right to asylum in America. The latest proposal is to revoke B1/B2 visas of people that came in on tourist visas and then applied for asylum. This would prevent anyone from adjusting status say by marrying a US citizen after they applied for asylum. The assault of LEGAL IMMIGRATION continues. Kim K. Just doesn't have what it takes to become a lawyer! I also did not pass the bar exam on the first try in the second hardest state (NY) to pass behind California but i did after that and have been practicing for more than 25 years. Stick to whatever you do best Kim. (Which I don't even know that is?)
