Not me sitting on a glass floor 93 floors above NYC, smiling with my eyes closed like I wasn’t questioning every life decision that brought me here. 😂😅

But here’s the thing about fear… sometimes the hardest part is taking that first step.

And sometimes, the hardest decisions are the ones we keep putting off…

…because we can’t imagine opening our eyes to seeing the people we love the most living a life without us, or us living a life without them.

I get it. That kind of planning feels unimaginable. 💔

That’s why I created Legacy by Design. ✨

Think about it. An architect doesn’t just throw together a building and hope it stands. They carefully design it, considering the foundation, the structure, the purpose, and the people who will live in it.

Last Friday, I had the honor of being sworn in as Treasurer of the San Diego La Raza Lawyers Association. ❤️⚖️ They put the estate & wealth preservation lawyer in charge of the money. 😂💰

All jokes aside, this is leadership role I don’t take lightly and I’m truly grateful for the opportunity to serve in such a crucial capacity to an organization and legal community that have given me so much. ❤️

💜 Today, I’m speaking to every “la hija” who has carried the weight of responsibility since childhood. The one who grew up a little faster because her family needed her to.

Today, I’m speaking to every chingona who knows what it feels like to walk into a room and be the only Latina. The one who has had to prove she belongs in spaces she worked twice as hard to enter.

Today, I’m speaking to every woman who has spent her life navigating two very different worlds. Honoring the sacrifices of those who came before us, holding tightly to the cultura that shaped us, while simultaneously pursuing dreams, opening doors, and breaking ceilings our families could only imagine.

Today is about so much more than money or a statistic.

It’s about the sacrifices. The expectations. The invisible weight we carry. The generations of women who worked tirelessly so we could have opportunities they never did.

And it’s about us.

The women who are still figuring it out. Still building. Still learning. Still trying to create something different for the daughters who will come after us.

Today, we get to pause and reflect on how far we’ve come, while acknowledging how much work remains, even in 2026.

As an attorney and financial educator, I get to help women understand not just how to earn money, but how to make their money work for them.

So many of us were taught how to work hard. How to sacrifice. How to provide. How to survive. But not many of us were taught how to build wealth. I don’t want women simply earning a living. I want us building legacies. Creating options. Staying out of abusive relationships because of money. Having the freedom to make choices that generations before us never had.

That is my mission. 🫶🏼

When we educate a woman about money, we don’t just impact her future. We have the opportunity to change the financial story of an entire family and the communities around her. 💕

Let that sink in.

To every hija, every chingona, and every woman breaking generational cycles while honoring the generations that came before her…

I see you. I’m proud of us. And we’re not done yet. 💜
