Theodore Roosevelt came to Tippah County to hunt with Paul Rainey.

More than a century later the house is still standing, the trophy room is still here, and the round
brick polo barn Rainey built for fifty horses is still out in the pasture. So are the photographs
from those years, hanging on the walls inside, showing the hunting parties, the dogs, the bear.
