After 20+ years here in Florida, we will forever be impressed as we enter Kennedy Space Center for Accelerate Brevard's annual State of Space. It was a full house of 300+ people ready to be inspired by the current accomplishments and future plans of the Space Industry. A special treat to honor Robert Seick with the Space Coast Legacy Award who was the Launch Director for 52 Space Shuttle missions over his long career. Biggest take away was that we are an interconnected ecosystem of businesses, educators and citizens supporting the entire State of Florida as a global leader in space exploration. Former President John F. Kennedy said it so poignantly all those years ago during the race to the Moon "We choose to do things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard." The annual Mayor's Breakfast hosted by The Greater Palm Bay Chamber of Commerce at the Space Coast Convention Center is always a highlight of the year. Sherriff Wayne Ivey as the MC is sure to wake you up - no coffee required! It is a morning of good humored ribbing circled around the important updates to improvements in each city or town. It is good to stay informed about what is going on in Brevard County Government. We were back at Vertex Applied Innovation Hub at Florida Tech for The Greater Palm Bay Chamber of Commerce monthly SCATI breakfast. The world around us is advancing so quickly with AI and the use of drones that it was great to get some insider info from SafeSky Systems USA. It's not just about their military uses but their affect on the commercial world as well. Amazon deliveries by drones, air taxis, railroad track inspections and possibly food deliveries in the near future - sorry GrubHub and Uber Eats drivers! We have to progress with the times or get left behind. The same is true with Estate Planning - it has to be redone every 5 - 7 years for life changes and statutory language changes.
