Over the weekend, many families celebrated Father's Day.

For some, it was a day filled with laughter, backyard barbecues, hugs from children, and cherished memories with the dads who have shaped their lives.

But we also know that for many people, Father's Day can be complicated.

It can be a reminder of a relationship that has changed, time lost with children, a difficult custody situation, family conflict, grief, or a chapter of life that looks very different than expected.

As family law attorneys, we have the privilege of walking alongside people during some of life's most challenging seasons. We see the heartbreak that can accompany separation and custody disputes. We also see the incredible love parents have for their children and the sacrifices they make every day.

This week, our hearts are with everyone who found Father's Day difficult.

Wednesdays are really symbolic... and not just because it signals that the weekend is just a couple more days away.
