We made the paper

They’re some the most tangible remains of Billings’ Chinese history. Another is the L and L Building at 2624 Minnesota Ave. The two-story building was built between 1893-1896 by brothers Sam and Yee Quong Lee, who were both Chinese immigrants. The building since has been home to the Arcade Bar, a Subway, and now houses a law office and an environmental engineering firm. It’s Montana then butting right up into Montana now, and the building still has its original cast iron front.

The historic L&L Building in downtown Billings has seen some things. 😮 It was built in the 1890s and it has been a dry goods store, a restaurant, a lodging house (inhabited by Calamity Jane), a saloon and liquor store, the Arcade Bar, a vacant "eyesore", a multi-use structure (home to , a CPA office, and ), and Russ Plath Law (current owner/tenant). The building was well known for the City's "criminal underbelly" at one point and underwent a certified historic tax credit rehabilitation (completed by ) in 2006. In 2008, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places. : The L&L Building is the last corner building in downtown Billings that exhibits a wrap-around cornice.
