This summer every Camp Dawn camper's registration fee was covered, thanks to a $30,000 donation made from Thomson Rogers LLP back in 2025! More campers were able to pack their bags, make new friends, and enjoy the magic of camp without the worry of cost.

For the acquired brain injury community, time outdoors at Camp Dawn is so much more than a getaway. It's an important part of rehabilitation and connection. That's why supporting Camp Dawn meant so much to us as part of our 90th anniversary celebrations in 2025. It truly embodies everything we're about.

Thank you to the incredible Camp Dawn team, volunteers, and of course the 2026 campers for showing us what an impact this gift has made.

Election signs are going up across Ontario ahead of the October 26 municipal elections 🪧 Every municipality sets its own start date. Hamilton's signs could go up September 28, Toronto's on October 1, and Brampton's on October 2.

Once the signs are up, the questions start. Who do you call about a stolen sign? Can your condo stop you from putting one up? Can a local group run ads against a candidate?

The answers might surprise you. A stolen sign is a police matter, not a clerk matter. Your condo or landlord can't ban signs inside your unit, although they can restrict them in common areas. And only registered individuals, corporations and unions can spend money on ads for or against a candidate.

Child Passenger Safety Week runs September 20 to 26, and it's a good reminder that car seat and booster seat errors remain surprisingly common, even among careful parents and caregivers.

The Thomson Rogers LLP Mentorship Award reached a milestone at the 2026 Ontario Professional Planners Institute (OPPI) Conference on September 17, when the first award was presented by Thomson Rogers LLP Partner Denitza Koev to Aimee Powell, MCIP, RPP.

Funded through our historic $30,000 donation to OPPI as part of our 90th anniversary initiative, the award will be presented annually to a new mentor for the next 15 years, celebrating those who go above and beyond.
