I spent the morning at Small Claims Court at 47 Sheppard Avenue East. I was surprised by the number of unrepresented parties being sued by companies. I noticed that being in front of the court and not knowing the process is not a good thing. People should realize that the judge is not there to help you with your case.

Canada is looking for skilled workers under the new federal skilled trades program. This is an opportunity for individuals who are skilled in a trade to apply for permanent residency to deal with the shortage of skilled trade workers in Canada.

Citizenship and Immigration Minister Chris Alexander was on hand to formally congratulate one of the new permanent residents, an Irish citizen named Eric Byrne. My. Byrne, who now works as a plumber in Ontario, praised the program and Canada as a whole.
