What You'll Need (Ingredients):
1/2 cup butter or oil 115g
1 cup sugar 200g
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder 120g
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla 5ml
1/4 cup flour 37g
1/4 tsp salt 1.25g
1/2 cup chocolate chips (Optional, but highly recommended!) 87.5g
Total Cost 7.33 for 16pcs =$0 .46 each
How to Make Them:
1)Prep: Pre-heat oven to 350°F. Grease an 8x8 square pan and set aside (or use a silicone pan if available).
2)Melt & Mix: In a large mixing bowl, add the melted butter. Add the sugar and cocoa powder and whisk vigorously for at least a minute, until the sugar has dissolved.
3)Make it Shiny: Add eggs one at a time, then the vanilla. Whisk for at least 1 minute, until well combined and the batter is shiny.
4)Fold the Dry: Stir in the flour and salt until fully combined. Pro tip: Be careful not to overmix here!
5)Add Chocolate: Fold in the chocolate chips.
6)Bake: Spread the batter in the pan and bake for approximately 20 minutes or until the center is slightly set. Keep an eye on them—do not over-bake!
Cool & Serve: Cool completely, then cut into 16 small squares. Enjoy!
