The GTA housing market remained relatively quiet in September, with many buyers continuing to take a wait-and-see approach as economic uncertainty, job security and borrowing costs weigh on confidence.

🏡 5,040 homes sold — down 9% year-over-year
📋 16,500 new listings — down 14.4% year-over-year
💰 Average price: $1,006,409 — down 5.1% from September 2025

While improved affordability is creating opportunities, many buyers are still waiting for greater confidence before making a move. For those who are active, today’s market can offer more negotiating power on both price and terms.

For sellers, strategy remains key. Buyers are taking their time, comparing their options and responding closely to pricing — making it increasingly important to understand the conditions within your specific neighbourhood and property type.

As we move further into the fall market, all eyes will be on whether improved affordability can help bring more of that pent-up demand off the sidelines.

As we reflect on the history and lasting legacy of residential schools in Canada, we recognize the importance of listening, learning, and acknowledging the experiences of Indigenous Peoples.

Reconciliation is an ongoing responsibility, and September 30 serves as an important reminder of the role we all have in building a more informed, respectful, and inclusive future.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our 2026 Signature Fall Kick Off! 🔥 It was an incredible opportunity to come together, reconnect, learn and challenge ourselves to keep growing, both personally and professionally.
