Ford's Captain Canada act is pure malarkey. He's got the same playbook and interests as Trump. It's why he's focused on ripping out our safe infrastructure instead of being all in fighting back on threats to our sovereignty and this trade war.

Here's a $25,000 Lake Ontario sign while I direct my government to flood the zone on bike lane removal ops.

Goofballs.

Got cycling law questions and don’t want to waste your time with AI hallucinations, sycophancy and bias? Nothing beats asking a real expert.

Be a part of your national voice for everyday cycling by participating in the Vélo Canada Bikes Annual General Meeting to be held on Sunday, September 27th over Zoom from 2 to 4pm Eastern Time.

This year’s Annual General Meeting will feature an Ask Me Anything (AMA) session on cycling law in Canada with Professor Christopher Waters! In this fun, fast-paced 20-minute Q&A, attendees will steer conversation by sending in questions ahead of time. The moderator will fire them off to Professor Waters, covering everything from everyday rules of the road to big-picture legal gaps. We'll dive into what's broken in Canadian cycling laws and what advocates and policymakers should tackle next.

You must register in advance to receive the Zoom meeting details, calendar invite, agenda and attend the meeting. The deadline to register is Friday September 25th, 2025 at 11:59 EST.

Our special guest speaker, Christopher Waters, is a Law Professor at the University of Windsor with expertise in international law and cycling law. He's also a longtime bicycle commuter, recreational cyclist, and advocate. He wrote the second edition of Every Cyclist’s Guide to Canadian Law and is currently finalizing the third edition.

You can submit your cycling law questions in advance to Professor Waters when you register for the AGM. Note that questions submitted after Sunday, September 20th may not be responded to in the presentation.

Please note: This session is intended for educational and informational purposes only and does not constitute formal legal advice.

Still processing what it meant to take the road w close to 1000 people on bikes last night. The biggest showing since police targeting us in High Park led to a massive Critical Mass in 2022.

We want to document this ride, so if you can please share your pics and videos w us that would be amazing. We really want a good shot of us all on the Bloor Viaduct.

HAMILTON FRIENDS: We represent a 17 year-old cyclist who suffered a major spinal fracture after being hit by a car on August 25, 2026, at approximately 6 p.m at the intersection of Mohawk Rd and East 37th in Hamilton. The driver did not call police to the scene (our client was in shock) so we don't have contact information for witnesses and good Samaritans who stepped in to assist.

Were you there? Did you see anything? Any information is important, including dashcam or other footage. Please reach out to us at [email protected] or by private message if you think you saw something.

Looks like TPS has lost the definition of a dooring somewhere along the way.

Maybe a purposeful use of language, maybe not. In any case anti cyclist attitudes permeate policing across the province and have serious negative effects on what injured people may be entitled to in terms of injury compensation.

We see this every day representing cyclists. You should see what this Waterloo Regional Police officer did recently...wild stuff.

We are constantly pushing back against this cyclist blame narrative and securing strong liability findings in favour of our clients. We relish the opportunity.

From Cycle Hamilton: "We are deeply saddened to learn that a cyclist died following a collision on Upper Centennial Parkway last night.

The collision occurred on Upper Centennial Parkway, between Ridge Road and Green Mountain Road.

Our thoughts are with the cyclist’s family, friends, and everyone impacted by this loss.

We are in conversation with Advocacy for Respect for Cyclists and will share more information as details become available.

Every person riding a bike deserves to make it home safely. Last night, someone didn’t.

Please drive with care, give people on bikes space, and look out for one another on our roads."

We stand with you friends.

Toronto Police are out there targeting Bike Share Toronto e-bike riders without helmets again today. We hear no tickets today (unlike the other day) but they are issuing warnings on Adelaide and also University in what appears to be kind of a dangerous way.

What if this guy fell off his bike and broke his arm? Would the helmet harassment have been worth it PC Thompson ?

Bike Share Toronto are you aware your customers are being blitzed?

Honestly, this seems a bit nuts. $1.5 billion for this?

Interesting way to a describe a dooring resulting in life threatening injuries!

I guess it doesn't jive well with their massive dragnet op on and shaming of e-mobility device users to say that actually, the real danger on our roads is f*cking inattentive motorists.

The City of Toronto and TPS really need to change their attitudes and priorities if any of us out there, motorists, pedestrians, cyclists, dog walker, etc. are going to be safe on our roadways and sidewalks.
