Moot Law Society at York

Moot Law Society at York Moots, LSAT Prep, Informational Panels and More! Moot Law Society at York (Moot) is both an academic law club and a social club.

Our primary academic activity is Moot Court, where our members have a chance to compete in teams against each other in a simulated court proceeding, acting as legal counsel and presenting their arguments before a judge. Mooting is an excellent academic experience that enables participants to develop a proper legal argument and participate in an extracurricular activity, practiced at even the most

prestigious law schools globally. Additionally, we offer social events for our members such as meet-and-greets, conferences with exceptional keynote speakers and LSAT preparation opportunities. Furthermore, many of our events attract practicing legal professionals such as lawyers, judges and paralegals who can provide members with first person insight into a legal career; Law School Panels, where several admissions recruiters from Canada's most reputable law schools explain expectations of applicants and admitted students alike. At Moot, we are dedicated to bringing members together to form great friendships and future professional connections, and in that spirit we host socials, as well as co-events with other York clubs.
