In 1998, when it was launched, the PNP welcomed only 400 immigrants, but due to its success, it now welcomes more than 80,000 per year. So if Express Entry isn't working for you, consider the PNP route which is expected to swell to more than 93,000 admissions by 2024

Canada's immigration backlog has now increased to more than 2 million applicants!

My suggestions to avoid visa application delays would be to:

1. Start early
2. Submit a complete application with all relevant documents and forms
3. Have Your Non-English/French Papers translated into one of the two offical Canadian languages
4. If You Do Not Have the Original Copy, Certify Your Documents with a JP or Notary Public
5. Make Sure Your Passport Is NOT Expiring In the Next Six Months
6. Scan Your Documents in Full Colour
7. Organise and label your documents properly and include a cover letter if required with your application - summarising the important points.

Ryerson University officially changed its name to the Toronto Metropolitan University after years of facing backlash for its connection to its former namesake, Egerton Ryerson, who is responsible in part for the country’s residential system.

The university’s renaming is a welcome step in helping reconcile Canada’s long history of colonization, both past and present. It signals a willingness to make amends for Canada’s mistreatment of people, especially in educational settings.

➡️ Don’t forget to swipe right

In 2020, citizens received the highest number of Express Entry Invitations to Apply (ITAs) — earning a whopping 47 percent of all ITAs issued. and citizens followed, receiving the second- and third-highest numbers.

These figures were released in the 2020 Express Entry Year-End Report, published by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) in December, 2021.

In #2020, a total of 107,350 invitations were issued. 50,841 of these went to Indian citizens, 8,955 to Chinese citizens, and 6,532 to Nigerians. India, China, and Nigeria were also the top three countries for ITAs in 2018 and 2019.

In 2020, candidates residing in Canada received 63 percent of all ITAs issued through Express Entry. This is an increase of 15 percent from the previous year. Those residing in India and the United States received the second- and third-highest number of ITAs with Indian residents landing 10 percent and U.S. residents receiving 6 percent.

It is likely that the percentage of ITAs issued to Canadian residents will increase even further in 2021 due to the government’s decision to prioritize in-Canada Express Entry candidates during the COVID-19 pandemic.
