Growing up, I watched my mom work hard as a single mother to provide for our family. One of her dreams was to own a home of our own. Watching her taught me the value of hard work, sacrifice, and the desire to create a better future for your family.
But as I grew older, I began to understand something important: 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐢𝐬 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐭𝐨 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐢𝐧𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐝 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐝𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐛𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝 𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠-𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐦 𝐰𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐢𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫.
In 2007, at just 26 years old, I bought my first home and became a mom to my son.
I had moved back to Canada from the UK and was adjusting to a new job role while taking on two life-changing responsibilities: raising my newborn son and becoming a homeowner.
Then came the 2008 recession.
It was a time of uncertainty. I was learning to balance motherhood, a new home, my career, and the financial responsibilities that came with this new chapter of life.
Like many first-time homeowners, I was learning as I went. I knew how to work hard and meet my responsibilities, but I wished I had more knowledge and guidance about financial planning, homeownership, and how real estate could contribute to long-term financial security.
Those experiences stayed with me and shaped the way I thought about homeownership. I began to understand how important the right knowledge, preparation, and guidance can be when making one of life’s biggest financial decisions.
About 10 years ago, I decided to leave full-time employment and pursue a career in real estate. As a mother, I wanted to build a career that gave me greater flexibility to be present for my children while creating financial independence for myself.
But I also wanted to do work that had a meaningful impact on people’s lives.
Having experienced the responsibilities of buying my own first home, I understood that the journey could feel overwhelming, especially when you’re balancing family, career, and financial commitments. I wanted to help people navigate that journey with greater clarity and confidence.

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of helping clients take steps toward homeownership, including many women and single mothers working hard to create a home and a better future for themselves and their families.
Seeing their journeys reminded me that a home is more than a property. It’s a place to build memories, create stability, and work toward a future filled with possibilities.
Today, as I focus on the next chapter of my real estate career, I want to do more than help people buy and sell homes.

My goal is to break down complicated information into practical, helpful advice so you can make decisions that are right for you and your family.
Because I know what it feels like to navigate major life changes while trying to make the best decisions for your future.
