This post is long overdue. For the good order, I am delighted to write this post. Too often in the Paralegal Profession, we judge each other based on the opinions of a few. However, when we take the time to meet, converse and observe our colleagues we come to know the true character of the person in question. I can safely say that this was my experience as it relates to Rajesh Sehgal (Mr. Sehgal”). Before going any further, I would like everyone to know that Mr. Sehgal is my respected and devoted colleague, and I could not imagine the OPA without Mr. Sehgal. It is encouraging and reassuring to me, to know that someone other than myself or some of the others who have served the OPA and moved on, cares so much about the OPA that they put themselves and everything on the line to support its mandate. I am referring to my colleague and friend Mr. Sehgal who over these four weeks has made my job as the President of the OPA and my job as a paralegal fulfilling. I say this because anything that is required to be done Mr. Sehgal is there to get it completed.
I write this post to ensure that everyone knows that I have the utmost trust and respect for my colleague Mr. Sehgal. Based on the way our relationship started, and if we can become friends and respect each other as colleagues, I take this as a sign that there is hope for our profession.
I know that Mr. Sehgal is running for one of the five Bencher positions, he is deserving and I would be thrilled to see him as one of our benchers because of his commitment and understanding of the issues that we as professionals face day in day. I know that he would not want me to write this part of the post but I think it needs to be said. Mr. Sehgal is an excellent candidate for a Bencher position.
Mr. Sehgal has been so devoted to the OPA that he has not been able to start his campaign. If you call the OPA now, Mr. Sehgal will probably answer the telephone. Before him, it was always me. Thank you, Mr. Sehgal.
