Today, Minister Mendicino announced that the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants opens on November 23, 2021, becoming the official regulator of immigration and citizenship consultants across the country.

Set to launch by September 2021, the Permanent Residence Online Application Portal will allow authorized immigration representatives to submit permanent residence applications online on behalf of their clients.

Update on the 2021 Parents and Grandparents program!

We will accept a record number of applications for the 2021 Parents and Grandparents (PGP) program and give those who submitted an Interest to Sponsor form in 2020 another chance to be selected to apply. http://ow.ly/T0El50FA8qA

For the 2021 PGP intake, we will randomly select from the remaining pool of Interest to Sponsor forms received in 2020 and then send invitations to apply to potential sponsors, starting the week of September 20, 2021. 📍IMPORTANT: For all those who submitted interest for the 2020 Parents and Grandparents Program - Immigration is now sending out invitations for those who were selected to apply.

NOTE: If you are selected, you must submit a completed Application within 60 days. 📍

Today we began sending invitations to apply for the 2020 Parents and Grandparents Program. We encourage those who submitted interest to sponsor forms in the fall of 2020 to check their email accounts regularly throughout the week.

Those who receive invitations to apply must submit their complete applications within 60 days. The deadline to apply will be clearly marked on the invitation.

Information and timelines on the 2021 Parents and Grandparents Program will be posted as soon as they’re available.
