🌟 From Corporate to Entrepreneur: My Journey as a Woman in Law 🌟
As the Founder and CEO of Sathiya Legal Services, I would like to introduce myself.
I came to Canada in 1986 at the age of 5, first settling in Montreal and then growing up in Toronto. My professional journey includes experience with leading organizations such as Microsoft Canada, Bell, Chrysler Financial, Whirlpool Canada, and Hydro One. My time in the corporate world gave me invaluable experience, learning how large organizations operate, manage processes, and serve clients; which became the foundation for running my own successful firm.
Because of that experience, I strive to provide first-class service to every client, which has helped my firm generate six-figure revenue.
While working in the corporate world, I decided to pivot from my educational background in Business Computer Systems and pursue my passion for law, enrolling in Seneca College’s Paralegal program. During this time, I faced one of the hardest periods of my life, including the loss of my mother who was my rock; but I stayed focused on my goal. I graduated, launched my own legal practice, and made the courageous decision to leave Hydro One after approximately 13 years to dedicate myself fully to my business.
I have now been licensed for seven years, running a successful practice. Every day, I wear many hats, and the trust my clients place in me is both humbling and rewarding. I believe that the more freedom you have, the stronger your discipline should be, and I apply this in everything I do. Although I am a woman and accomplished all of this on my own, I stand strong and will continue to do so.
The foundation of my journey has always been faith. I give all glory to Jesus, whose guidance and strength carried me through the toughest times. Every challenge I’ve faced has equipped me to connect with my clients on a deeper level, providing support and guidance when they need it most. As my mother used to say, “If there is a will, there is a way.”
💼 To fellow women entrepreneurs and aspiring legal professionals – resilience, determination, and faith can turn obstacles into milestones.
