The courts in Ontario have been very clear that in the event of a disagreement between parents about whether or not a child (between the ages of 12 and 17) should be vaccinated against COVID-19, the court will likely find that it is in the child’s best interests to be vaccinated. Judges have gone as far as ordering a 14-year old to be vaccinated against his wishes and prohibiting a mother from providing any anti-vaccination information to her son. There is a clear general presumption by the Courts that it is in the best interests of all eligible children to get vaccinated.
