Talk about an elite 14-year style and venue upgrade! From the dusty bullring to a luxury boat cruise. ✨ Bois, we out here. 🛥️

Fourteen years ago on July 11, Mr. Andrew Leroy Rudder was wearing a dirt-stained traditional white outfit with a red pañuelo, running with the bulls in Spain and doing everything humanly possible to evade a catastrophic injury. Last night, Mr. Rudder found himself back in a monochromatic white outfit, but this time it was a crisp, clean mandarin collar shirt for an elite, invitation-only networking cruise on the Toronto Harbour hosted by Versus Consulting, Abilities Neural Rehabilitation Group, and Leading Connections.

While catching up on travel stories with brilliant colleagues on deck—including one who is planning her own trip to the San Fermín Festival—I couldn't help but laugh at the parallel. Handling complex personal injury law can feel like a wild stampede if you aren't prepared. At Rudder Law Group, we turn that high-stakes energy into rock-solid strategy, ensuring our clients get smooth sailing instead of a rough ride.

What is the wildest adventure you’ve had that surprisingly taught you a valuable lesson about your current career? Drop it in the comments!

When a great cause meets an intense morning workout routine, you say "yes" without hesitation. 🚴🏾‍♂️💨

Mr. Andrew Leroy Rudder was incredibly proud to participate in The Darling Home for Kids Cycle Ride for ! Thanks to Neil Wilson from Whelton Hiuton Barristers for extending the invite to join Team Whelton.

We tackled a beautiful, winding 50KM route through Milton to raise funds for medically complex children and their families. Navigating those single-lane roads surrounded by trees felt a lot like the work we do at Rudder Law Group. When a family is hit with a catastrophic injury, the road ahead looks steep, narrow, and full of unexpected turns. It takes a dedicated team, unwavering stamina, and the right machinery to make it through safely.

Whether Mr. Rudder is pushing his limits on his Specialized Roubaix SL8 or navigating the complex legal system in the boardroom, his focus remains entirely on delivering life-changing results for those who need it most.

What is a cause close to your heart that motivates you to push past your physical and mental limits?

Trying to scale a modern boutique law firm on old-school keyword SEO is like trying to steer a high-powered sailboat with a butter knife. It’s exhausting, highly inefficient, and simply won't get you through the massive technological waves reshaping our profession today. ⛵❌

It was a true honour for Mr. Andrew Leroy Rudder to serve as Co-Chair for the Law Society of Ontario's 20th Solo and Small Firm Conference: Building Your Future-Ready Firm. The entire day was a phenomenal success, showing just how agile and powerful solo and small practices are when equipped with the right tools.

While a primary highlight for Mr. Rudder was presenting a comprehensive marketing strategy on "feeding AI engines" with structured schema and high-density legal data to win high-value files, the conference offered a remarkably diverse array of essential insights. From auditing business systems and mastering difficult conversations to managing the serious ethical risks and responsibilities of AI implementation, every session was packed with actionable takeaways.

An event of this magnitude requires an elite organizing team. A massive, heartfelt thank you to the phenomenal Conference Chair, Shari Slonim, and Mr. Rudder's brilliant fellow Co-Chairs and moderators: The Honourable Justice Kathleen Erin Cullin, Barbara Hicks, and Samantha Seabrook.

Mr. Rudder also wants to give a distinct shoutout to Mark Cornish, whose tireless dedication and invaluable leadership in every single planning meeting alongside Shari truly helped shape the backbone of this conference. Together with the exceptional LSO staff, our collective vision engineered a flawless experience. Thank you as well to our forward-thinking sponsors, cutting-edge vendors, and expert panel presenters.

Most importantly, thank you to our incredible audience of lawyers and paralegals who joined us live in Toronto and via webcast from across the country.

Two dapper gents and a masterpiece of strategy. ⚖️🍷

This week, Mr. Andrew Leroy Rudder had the pleasure of attending the TAG Canada event right here in downtown Toronto. The highlight? Connecting with the incredible Alan Jackson after his dynamic talk (and he loved Mr. Rudder's Glen check suit!). It was powerful to hear his philosophy on defense, especially regarding his high-stakes cases like Karen Read's. We talked about how "caring too much" is never a weakness—it’s the actual high-octane fuel that keeps that ever-burning fire in your belly. When a client puts their life in our hands, absolute devotion is the only fuel that gets the job done. It was great networking, great insights, and a timely reminder of why we push so hard at Rudder Law Group.

Have you ever tried assembling a massive piece of flat-pack furniture without the instruction manual? You’ve got a hundred identical wooden pegs, a tiny metal hex key, and you’re just praying the whole thing doesn't collapse the second you put a coffee cup on it.

That’s exactly what navigating a major career transition feels like. Years ago, when Mr. Andrew Leroy Rudder was about to take the massive leap and start his solo and small firm practice, Rudder Law Group, he attended the annual Solo and Small Firm Conference as an attendee simply searching for the master manual. He was looking for the cutting-edge, "how-to" knowledge he needed to build an empowered, self-reliant, and autonomous career without the frustrating trial and error. He found those missing pieces, applied them, and returned the following year as a presenter on an online digital marketing panel.

The year after that, Mr. Rudder stepped up as Co-Chair, presenting and moderating sessions. He returned last year in that same capacity, and he is incredibly excited to be back again this year doing the exact same thing!

Mr. Rudder's mission is to hand lawyers and paralegals the translated instruction manual so they can skip the guesswork and gain true agency over their professional life. This year, we are diving incredibly deep into embracing the power of AI to transform your daily grind. Trying to build a future-ready career or practice using legacy strategies is like trying to navigate downtown Toronto at rush hour using a paper map from 1998. You’re going to hit a lot of dead ends. We're handing you the live GPS.

Ever wonder what a personal injury lawyer looks for when they walk through your door? Join Mr. Andrew Leroy Rudder this Tuesday, March 3rd, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM EST for "The Open Door: Managing Liability and Risk on Business Premises."

Mr. Rudder is opening this up to my entire community—from local Burlington entrepreneurs to my legal colleagues and paralegals who want a masterclass on the Occupiers’ Liability Act.

Here is the fun part: Mr. Rudder is a plaintiff's lawyer who frequently sues businesses, but for this one-hour workshop, he is playing for your team. He will be sharing the tactical "gaps" he looks for when filing a catastrophic injury claim, from missing inspection logs to poor CCTV protocols. We will explore why "reasonableness" is your best defense and how to minimize liabilities at your workplace that fall outside of WSIB.

They say you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover—which is a relief, because Mr. Andrew Leroy Rudder spent way more time perfecting the 700+ pages inside than he did picking out those cufflinks. 📖⚖️

Navigating the complexities of Canadian injury law is a lot like mastering a high-stakes game of chess: it requires patience, a sharp eye for the next move, and knowing exactly when to let the Queen (or in this case, the evidence) do the heavy lifting.

Whether Mr. Rudder is in the boardroom or between the pages of his LexisNexis guide, the focus remains the same: sophisticated strategy for life’s most catastrophic moments.

They say a ship goes nowhere without a rudder. But nobody ever said the Rudder has to stay at the dock. 🚢🌏

I built Rudder Law Group as a solo practice for two reasons:
To steer my clients through choppy legal waters.
To prove I can captain the ship even when the 'office' is a 17th-century temple in Bangkok.

Steering the ship from the other side of the world. The Wi-Fi is strong, but the coffee is stronger. ☕️⚖️

They say as a solo practitioner, you have to wear many hats. Today, Mr. Andrew Leroy Rudder is apparently wearing a tank top and hanging out with apsara dancers.

We love that remote work allows us to take Rudder Law Group global while still delivering top-tier results for our injured clients back home.

⚖️ Think of a personal injury case like these ancient stone temples: It doesn't matter how impressive it looks on the surface; if the foundation isn't solid and every stone isn't aligned perfectly, the whole thing will crumble under pressure.

We're here to make sure our clients' cases are built rock-solid.
