Family disputes can be settled out of court.
Mediation is a voluntary settlement process that helps resolve disputes outside of the court.
The informal process consists of a mediator that helps parties reach an agreement. The mediation process identifies factors that are important to all parties involved, clarifies any misunderstandings between the parties, provides an Alternative Dispute Resolution and also negotiates settlements.
The mediator is not a judge, instead he/she conducts mediation sessions which encourages communication and negotiations.
