Before paying anyone for Canadian immigration advice:
• Check who they are
• Verify that they’re authorized
• Look them up independently
• Don’t rely only on a Facebook ad

Scepticism is healthy. Verification is better.

Have you ever seen an immigration ad that made you question whether it was legitimate?

Working in Canada does not automatically mean you qualify for the Canadian Experience Class (CEC)

CEC eligibility depends on several factors, including your work experience, occupation, language results, and whether your experience meets IRCC requirements.

And even if you qualify for CEC, that does not necessarily mean your CRS score will be high enough to receive an Invitation to Apply.

Before creating an Express Entry profile, it is important to understand whether your Canadian work experience actually qualifies.

I’ve put together a short guide explaining the key CEC requirements and what applicants should consider before entering the Express Entry pool.

IRCC updates temporary residence processing times

As of July 28, 2026, study and work permit processing times increased by one week for applicants applying from Pakistan and Nigeria.

Visitor visa and Super Visa wait times also increased in several countries, while some applications from Canada, the U.S., and the Philippines improved slightly.

Published processing times are estimates, not guarantees. Delays can become longer if an application is incomplete, complex, or requires additional documents.

Planning to apply? Start early and make sure your application is properly prepared before submission.

Most people don’t struggle with Canadian immigration because they’re unqualified.

They struggle because they don’t fully understand how the system applies to their specific situation.

Age, education, work experience, and timing all change what’s realistic.

Once those are clear, the path usually becomes clearer too.
