Happy Divorce month! 😬😬😬

January has unofficially been dubbed Divorce Month for some years now. Many legal experts believe that the reason for this trend boils down the holidays. People generally don’t want to get divorced during the holidays. If couples, especially those with children, have started to consider divorce before the holidays, they make a point of staying married through the end of the year so their family can have one last holiday season together before they split.

If you have found yourself facing the reality of needing to organise a parenting plan or property settlement, we are here to help! We have a range of mediation and arbitration options that can get you on the track to finalising everything ASAP - 1300 768 496

What is your new years resolution?

While in reality every day is an opportunity to start fresh, the new year symbolises 'out with the old and in with the new' - new relationships, new health, new goals, new job, new you. Everyone is quick to start eating healthy and join a gym, but few people think about challenging the way they communicate, react and interact with others. Whether it be improving culture in the workplace, negotiating how to do business better, or repairing a relationship for the benefit of children, mediation can offer an opportunity to move forward and improve your life in ways you may not have thought of - Don't go into 2021 with 2020's problems!

Here's to wishing everyone out there a wonderful 2021!

SHAW DR had their end of year lunch today!

This year has seen increasing disputes in some areas and has seen many opportunities for the dispute resolution field to be innovative and flexible!

Our National Executive team ended the year by coming together and talking about all of the things 2020 has given us (both positive and negative) and how we can take that experience into 2021 for an even better year!

What did you learn in 2020 that will help you have a better 2021?

Personal awareness is a key strength of many great leaders, but it is usually one of the key things missing when a dispute arises. By understanding why another person feels the way they do or is wanting a particular outcome, we can understand what is important to them and why. By reflection on each others reasoning and by remaining future focused throughout mediation, this can help you reach a mutually agreeable decision much quicker.

Congrats again!
