After 48 years with Tindall Gask Bentley, Paul Favilla is heading into retirement, leaving a lasting contribution to our firm, our clients and the legal profession.
Paul joined Tindall Gask Bentley & Co in 1978 after first meeting Richard Gask as his football coach at the Adelaide University Football Club, affectionately known as "The Blacks". What began as a connection through sport became the start of a legal career spanning six decades.
Throughout that time, one thing remained constant: a commitment to putting clients first.
Reflecting on his career, Paul says:
"For a significant part of my career, I have acted for and been part of people's lives in their most distressed and vulnerable state following a work injury affecting their earning capacity. The firm demanded that we act with integrity, empathy and compassion to whoever they were and from whatever background."
Over the years, Paul has been a respected colleague, mentor and advocate, building lasting relationships with clients, members of the profession and generations of TGB staff. His knowledge, experience and commitment to helping others have helped shape not only outcomes for clients, but also the culture and values of our firm.
As he reflects on his time at TGB, Paul's gratitude is evident.
"Working at Tindall Gask Bentley has been rewarding, challenging and fulfilling. I leave the firm with thanks and gratitude to former partners, present partners and the many members of TGB with whom I have shared this journey. It has been a great place to work, and I will miss the relationships I have developed with clients, colleagues and members of the profession."
