β οΈ IMPORTANT UPDATE FOR TRADE COURSE STUDENTS! β οΈ
Planning to study a trade in Australia? The rules have changed! π¦πΊ
Australia has tightened concurrent study rules for international students. Students who have not completed 12 months of their principal course generally cannot newly enrol in another course with a different provider, including a trade or VET course, through concurrent enrolment. Existing concurrent enrolments are not affected by this change.
Example: If a student starts a 2-year Masterβs degree in October 2026, they generally cannot start a separate trade certificate with another provider concurrently before completing 12 months of their principal course. After the 12-month period, different enrolment options may become available, subject to the applicable rules.
