👉 Lawyers, counsellors and clinicians are all held to professional standards, codes of conduct and licensing requirements before we open our doors.

😎 Accessible and ethical surrogacy must be supported by services that are accountable.

🙌 Matching services, and advertising for surrogacy, are illegal in many parts of Australia. There are very few protections for intended parents who hand over their money for promise of matching with a surrogate, that may not exist.

If we care about the rights of women and children, and to protect vulnerable intended parents from being exploited, we need to regulate the industry.

I meet so many people who are brand new to surrogacy, and there’s one thing I hear over and over again: “I don’t even know where to start.” And honestly, that makes complete sense. Even though awareness is growing and more people are talking about it, taking those first steps can still feel overwhelming.
