Thanking Jehovah God and Lord Jesus Christ for the grace of Learning 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏.

My 3rd Master” s degree but 5th Postgraduate Qualification is a Master of International Relations & Diplomacy (MSU)(Zim) which i achieved with a Book Prize 🏆.

My Thesis entitled “The nexus between National Interest and International Cooperation”, analyzed and unravelled against Henry Kissinger”s theory of “No permanent friends and no Permanent enemies“ within the context of diplomatic tools used by states to strike a balance between these two always competing interests .

-Firstly,I philosophize and theorize that, the theory that a country has no permanent friends and no permament friends undermines the role of shared values and principles in International Relations. In fact it is passe’. While national interests drive foreign policy, a lack of consistent values & principles risks unstable partnerships, eroding trust, weakens lonterm strategic partnerships based on mutual goals.Fissures in NATO states interse and the UNSC are a good example.

-Secondly,countries use their national (domestic )laws to safeguard sovereignty(another problematic concept in light of the normative global order and deference ) while participating in international and multilateral platforms like UN, WTO and their use of such institutions to promote cooperation. National laws, Treaties, conventions, agreements and multilateral institutions are used to balance national interests with global priorities ensuring economic growth, envrionmental protection and security while adhering to international norms & fostering collaborative solutions. These to me are diplomatic tools worthy using by all states.

-Lastly,i theorize in the alternative arguing that,no state (or politician)is as commonly believed by a student of political science; “realist , liberal , democrat or idealistic”. Normative diplomacy and emeging national co-operation theory demands that , foreign policies should not be guided only by national interests but also shared values, principles, ethics & international norms. I advocate while analysing the laws of Zimbabwe, USA, Russia, Brazil, South Africa, China, France and the UK ,for longterm, value based alliances, fostering stability, trust and co-operation beyond ever-changing or fluctuating self-interest as the determining can”t do without factors in a world where international cooperation has become a necessity!📌🗡️✅👍
