🌍🌱Did you know? Zambia’s Law on Protected Areas
Under Sec 123 of Zambia’s Environmental Management Act, anyone who fails, neglects, or refuses to follow guidelines for Environmentally Protected Areas (EPAs) commits an offence.
⚖️Offenders face fines up to 300,000 penalty units or 3 years in prison or both.
This law ensures that fragile ecosystems like wetlands, forests, and erosion-prone lands are safeguarded against misuse and destruction.
Protecting these areas isn’t just good practice, it’s a legal obligation. 🌿✨
