My mediation practice turns 12 today.
I started my practice in the midst of a recession. I pushed through.
When my practice turned one and gained momentum, my mother became critically ill and passed away. I pushed through.
I built this practice from the ground up and don’t ever regret a day of going into the mediation field.
We have managed through all the COVID lockdowns and continue to push through.
My reward comes in making a difference in the lives of others during a very dark time for them, and enabling those with children to have a peaceful divorce so they may co-parent effectively. In turn healing of others in any way is balm for ones own soul. So no it’s not just my job - it is part of my purpose, clearly.

Thank you to those who have stood by my side.

The emotionally stressed and distressed conditions of a divorce need no additional sources of inflammation, yet contested divorces seem to be the default (pun intended) advice in this area. The saying goes "when elephants fight, the earth hurts" . Similarly, the collateral damage inflicted by ego inspired attorneys and their clients can have long lasting effects. The contrast to litigation is mediation, which is not a panacea for all conflicts. However, the style of engagement in mediation is much more balanced and constructive than the argumentative and fractious nature of litigation. Choosing a good mediator and adopting a mature approach to the matters that require negotiation preserve both relationship value and assets. I have no hesitation in recommending Chantal Kur as a divorce mediator based on her approach, reasonable fees and considerate style.

From 1 June 2020 our offices will be open for all mediation consultations. We will also offer an online mediation service for those who wish to consult online. Our offices are sanitised before and after each session, equipped with hand sanitisers, masks covering the nose and mouth are required to stay on throughout the sessions by all parties and temperatures are taken of everyone entering. A full screening questionnairs is also required to be completed. We have covid screens on our tables and are doing everything we can to keep us all protected.
