Admitted as attorney on 20 May 2011 after serving articles with Eversheds Attorneys in Sandton, specializing in all aspects of High Court litigation, both actions and applications.
1.1. Recent assignments
General Litigation on behalf of South Africa Breweries (SAB), and Absa Technology Finance Solutions, Imperial Trucks, Absa Insurance Company, City of Johannesburg Property Company, Equestra Corporation, MCC Plant Hire and Commercial Litigation for ATD Security (Pty) Ltd. Also involved in the PIE and Commercial evictions on behalf of the City of Johannesburg Property Company (Pty) Ltd. Property law and other related transactions:
- I was in charge of the Sasol (Pty) Ltd account and rendered for them the following services, namely:
- Review of legal documentation, commercial agreements and advising thereon,
- drafting documents in respect of acquisition of property for development purposes,
- drafting of Notarial leases, Servitudes(right of way, restraint and right of pre-emption), Notarial tie agreements, supply agreements
- drawing up and ex*****on of Mortgage and Notarial Bonds in favour Sasol, and
- rendering advice on Compliance with the Petroleum Act and the National Environmental Management Act for the purposes of impact assessments report and approval for development of service station and other related legislations in the political and social transformation.
- Instituted legal proceedings in the High Court of South Africa against a land Developer who entered into a land development agreement with Sasol, despite him having sold the land already to a third party.
- Advised Matemeku Investments (Proprietary) Limited in the acquisition of an interest in Edusport Travel.
- Advising the Krokodilkraal Investment (Proprietary) Limited in the acquisition of a mineral rights and negotiation of the royalty payments.
- Advising Makekele Investments (Proprietary) Limited in the purchase of mining equipments.
- Advising Barplats Mines Ltd in relation to the expropriation of land known as portion 360 ( a portion of portion 97) of the farm Zandfontein no 447 by SANRA Ltd for purpose of national road. Litigation matters:
- Instituted civil proceedings on behalf of and defended the Clients in the Magistrate’ court, High Court and Labour Court.
- I was part of the legal team that instituted High Court legal proceedings on behalf of Mr. Mandela against his former lawyer and also in other property related matters.
- Handled all Labour litigation matters in the CCMA and Labour Court for PIKITUP Johannesburg.
- Also handled the South African Broad Casting Corporation account, in which I was responsible for,
- Reviewing and drawing up of employment agreements
- Reviewing and drawing up sponsorship agreements, and
- Reviewing and drawing up of service level agreements
- Sued on behalf of and defended the corporation in civil matters at the High Court and Magistrate’s court.
- I was also in charge of the Liberty Life account in which I would render the following legal services:
- provision of legal opinions on disputes arising from the workings of the Financial Advisory & Intermediary Services Act(FAIS),2002.
