Updated Guide to UAE Embassy Document Attestation:

The United Arab Emirates Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) has announced a new procedure for the official verification of documents, which has transitioned entirely to an online system. Consequently, personal attendance at the embassy for document attestation is no longer permissible.

The Embassy of the United Arab Emirates imposes a standard attestation fee of R2300 for each document submitted. It is crucial to note that this fee does not include any supplementary expenses, such as those related to authentication services or delivery charges.

Upon completion of the attestation process through the newly established electronic service, re-verification of the document in the UAE will not be required.

To initiate the attestation process, the following information is required:

- Residential address in South Africa
- Address in the UAE
- A contact telephone number in the UAE
- An email address

By utilizing this service, you agree to the following stipulations:

1. All submitted documents must be original and authentic.
2. Relevant authorities reserve the right to accept or reject documents and may request additional supporting information as deemed necessary.
3. Regulations and fees pertaining to the attestation process are subject to change without prior notice from the government.

Cancellation Policy: Once an application has been submitted and the applicable fee has been paid, processing will commence immediately. Therefore, cancellation of an application following submission is not permitted.
