"If you were waiting for a sign from the universe then this is it! Today is the best day to start your business. The longer you wait, the more time you will have for excuses to pile up."

to Jade Bailey Mentor who shared her story a few weeks ago. Her business turns one this year, what an awesome milestone🥳😎. We completely agree with Jade, today is the best day to start! Your courage today will become the catalyst to your success in the future.

We particularly loved her words: "Perfection can’t be the goal. Information is the goal". Our learning journey as entrepreneurs never ends and we have so much to learn from each other.

That is why we are so excited about our campaign , so if you would like to share your story or if you know of someone else who has a great story to feature. Then let us know via email on [email protected] or [email protected] or just send us a dm 😁

For two years I was simply waiting to launch my business. I did not have a name, I was not sure what my main service was going to be, but I was helping so many individuals and companies on the side. It was only when I signed my first 12 month retainer contract with a US based client, that I knew I had to launch my own brand.

If you were waiting for a sign from the universe then this is it! Today is the best day to start your business. The longer you wait, the more time you will have for excuses to pile up.
Those first 100 days sets your own energy tone as an entrepreneur. Building an ambitious company takes a lot of time and you need to realise that if you don't work, then you don't make money.
SHOCKER! I did not have a plan - I took a risk, paid to get a logo designed and went live! Sometimes, the anxiety behind launching is the reason you don't ever start something great!
Even in the first 100 days there’s no such thing as a "startup side project” or "side hustle". The amount of energy you need to put in at the beginning is super intense.
Perfection can’t be the goal. Information is the goal. The first responsibility of an entrepreneur is to learn things that nobody else knows. Build your level of expertise, your level of awareness, until you really do become an expert. Make sure you’re learning as much as possible in as short an amount of time as possible. Connect with others and grow your network!
Today, I am a proud expert in the field of personal branding and virtual assistance. My services include but are not limited to: LinkedIn and CV Optimisations, Personal Branding Coaching/Consultations, Workshops and Masterclasses (an awful lot of making people look good online!)

My business officially turns one this year and I aim to celebrate the small wins by either going live with a website, a business page on Facebook or possibly broadening my services. Stay tuned to find out what I decide!

We are super excited because today we are featuring one of our favourite entrepreneurs Kristine Tudhope from UPvisor. She shares her golden nuggets on what she learned during her first 100 days in business. 🤩😎🥳

"I didn't know it then, but my first 100 days in business set the tone for the next 4 years. It was a whirlwind of excitement, with some over-commitment, lots of overtime, uncertainty and mad rush(es) to make things happen! That still has not changed.

Here's what I learnt in MyFirst100Days:

1. If you're not embarrassed by your first attempt, you waited too
long to go to market! Minimal viable product is the name of the
game in entrepreneurship.

2. Don't create a product you think your clients want. Create the
product that they've told you they need.

3. What clients want and what they need are not always the same
thing. Sell them what they want, but give them what they need
(in a way they want it😋)!

4. The hustle is real. You need to be willing to put yourself out
there.

5. Do not forsake previous employers, colleagues and network
associates. If you have a good relationship with them, they can
become your loudest raving fans!

6. Network your butt off.

7. If you were unhappy in your job, you will likely be unhappy in
your business. You are the common factor. Fix yourself before
trying to run away from something that makes you unhappy.

8. You can't do it alone. Surround yourself with experts, colleagues,
family and friends that can share your vision.

9. Not getting a salary sucks. Plan accordingly.

10. Dream, visualise, budget, brainstorm, talk to people... But you
need to put it into action. Are you willing to put skin in the
game? Don't expect someone else to invest in your business if
you're not willing to do so first."

Somethings , we can only learn through experience, that is what we loved about Polished Events & Celebration's First 100days story🙌

We are hoping to create a platform to share the lessons that many entrepreneurs face when they first start a business and the lessons that helped them grow.

If you would like us to share your story. Please reach out to us by emailing [email protected] or [email protected].

MY FIRST HUNDRED DAYS IN BUSINESS

Polished Events & Celebrations is an event, design, styling, planning and creative consulting company specializing in bespoke experiences for our clients and their guests. We offer a refined, personal, event planning services

Polished Events was born in one single Instagram and Facebook post while I was working on building a website that would tell a fuller picture of the business.

The first 100 days seem like such a blur now. I didn’t realize how many quotes I would have to prepare before getting that first order. I had not considered t the amount of time and costs that were involved in a start-up business. Spending money towards a promotional plan that you hope will work while trying to get your name out there is an entire subject on its own. Also no one told me how difficult it is to develop a costing structure based on time, sourcing and physical work, each event Is different and unique and required different planning, prepping and ex*****on timelines.
It took some time to find our feet and to develop a rhythm- All the above is still a work in progress and I’m yet to say I’ve mastered any of them but passion, planning and researching your market, will set you apart from the start!

This week we are so excited about featuring the awesome lessons shared by our dear friends from Business Solutions during their . Anela Mahamba ( Founder) is a dynamic entrepreneur with loads of vision and wisdom👇🤩🙌

Here are 10 lessons about the first 100 days of KBS

1. The business plan/idea is motivating but the actual running of
the business WILL disrupt the honeymoon perception, and
that’s okay.

2. Position your business relative to your clients, not your
competitors.

3. Be INTENTIONAL about your vision, values and value add.

4. There is NO substitute for hard work.

5. Systems will protect/sustain your business and enhance your
credibility.

6. Cash is king but earn it with INTEGRITY.

7. Business money is NOT your money. Draw a monthly stipend
and live within your means.

8. Some days you will feel untouchable and in some you will feel
like giving up. Both feelings are constant in the
entrepreneurial journey and that’s okay.

9. Your mental health can easily be compromised. Look after
yourself.

10. Preparation is your most valuable commodity. Whatever
business season you are in, never stop preparing for the
moment of opportunity.

Can you remember your first 100 days of starting your business?😁

Well after 5 years of struggles, lessons, wins and building solid relationships with our Clients we can definitely remember ours😊

Here are 10 lessons our Founder, Varonique Philander can share about the first 100 days of Chaya Legal 🙌

- There are good days, there are bad days and there are days that
you just want to give up. (This is normal - keep going)

- Your idea is only as good as your willingness to execute. ( stop
putting so much value on ideas alone)

- There is a huge difference between researching what you think
customers want and what customers actually want. Spend more
time speaking to customers ( they are human not fictional)

- You do not know everything, and that is okay. ( Be honest, be
humble and keep learning)

- No one will believe in your idea, if you do not.

- Fostering relationships with clients & partners is EVERYTHING
( do not underestimate the power of 1 client)

- No matter how much you know- mistakes are inevitable.

- Do not chase money, it can take you off your path in a blink of an
eye and steal precious time.

- Experience can not be taught, you have to go through it.

- When nothing else makes sense, hold onto your vision - It will
Pull You Through Always

For the last 5 years we have been providing affordable legal solutions to our Clients and we are super excited about a new product that we have been working on for while.

To celebrate our 5th birthday , we have started a free dedicated whatsapp line and a facebook group called Executor Guide Support Group to assist and support DIY Executors who are trying to administer their loved one's deceased estate on their own with little to no information and support.

We believe law should be practical, accessible and most of all it should SAFEGUARD.
