From St. Croix to South Africa 🐂🇿🇦
The Senepol originated on the Caribbean island of St. Croix, developed from Red Poll (89%), Creole (10.4%) and N’Dama (0.6%) genetics, combining traits such as heat tolerance, natural polling, early maturity and a gentle disposition.
The South African Senepol story began in 2000, with the first cattle arriving from Zimbabwe in 2001, forming the foundation of the breed locally.
From tropical beginnings to Southern African conditions, the Senepol was developed to adapt and perform.
