✈️ NEW SARS TRAVEL REQUIREMENT – EFFECTIVE 1 JULY 2026 🇿🇦

If you’re travelling into or out of South Africa, take note!

From 1 July 2026, SARS requires all travellers (by air, land, sea or rail) to complete an Online Traveller Declaration within 24 hours before travelling.

This declaration forms part of the Customs process and applies even if you have nothing to declare. Simply submit a Nil Declaration if you’re not carrying any declarable goods or currency.

You can complete your declaration:
✅ On the SARS Traveller Declaration website
✅ Via the SATMS App
✅ Through the SARS MobiApp
✅ By scanning the QR code available at ports of entry and exit

Completing the declaration before you travel will help avoid unnecessary delays at Customs.
