Supreme Court of Appeal: After a young boy's hand was crushed by a falling table at a school fashion show organised by the school's Representative Council of Learners, the boy's father sought to hold the school liable. However, the school argued that the fashion show was a ‘school activity’ within the meaning of section 60(1)(b) of the South African Schools Act and that the father ought, therefore, to have sued the State, instead of the School.

Legal Advise.... ALERT Criminal record is bad. Most companies and some government departments won't employ you if you have one. But you can clear it in six months if you really need employment.
Let me advise if you wanna clear a Criminal Record on your File...
First Step...
Go to your local Police Station to have your fingure-print taken, cost is: R115.00. In most Police Stations they submit this on your behalf. But I advise if you in Gauteng Province to go to Pretoria Central Police Station and do your fingure-print there.
Second Step...
Take your prints and submit them to:
Criminal Record Centre - CRC
Bothongo Plaza West
271 Cnr. Francis Baard & Thabo Sehume Streets
Pretoria
012 393 3712
012 393 3713
After submitting to wait 4 to 6 weeks.
Third Step...
Once you receive your Certificate after 4 to 6 weeks, if you have a Criminal Record to take it to:
Department of Justice and Constitutional Development to apply for:
Presidential Pardon
Clearance Certificate and
Criminal Record Expungement.
Address as follows:
DoJ&CD
1st Floor East Towers
Cnr. Pretorius and Prinsloo Streets
