The 6th batch of our students had the opportunity to experience the courtroom environment at the Durban Magistrate’s Court this week, broadening their understanding of the legal profession.⚖️
Thanks to the NPA Court Shadowing Programme and BLASC UNISA Durban, our students were able to see how the legal concepts they study are applied in real life courtroom proceedings. A valuable step towards becoming future legal professionals.

Another impactful day for the NPA Courtshadowing Programme as another group of aspiring legal minds had the opportunity to attend proceedings at the Durban Magistrates Court on the 25-29 of May 2026. The programme continues to provide students with first-hand exposure to the justice system, allowing them to witness courtroom processes, observe legal professionals in action and gain a deeper understanding of the important role the courts play in upholding justice and the rule of law. We are proud to see the continued growth and impact of the NPA programme as it shapes, educates, and motivates the next generation of leaders in law and justice.

Another splendid week for our students at the Durban Magistrate’s Court. Through the NPA Court Shadowing Programme, they had the opportunity to bridge the gap between theory and practical legal experience.⚖️
Being inside the courtroom provided valuable insight into navigating the legal profession and criminal justice system.

Today’s observations, tomorrow’s arguments.⚖️ From the 28th of April-5th of May, students attended the NPA CourtShadowing Programme at Pinetown Magistrates Court. They had the opportunity to observe real court proceedings and interacted with prosecutors. Indeed they experienced law beyond the textbooks. All thanks is given to the NPA and Pinetown Magistrates Court for this opportunity that provided valuable legal exposure to these young minds.
