Day 31 Campaign Conclusion

Empowered by Faith, Empowering the Nation
Allah says:"Indeed, Allah commands justice, excellence, and giving to relatives..." (Qur'an 16:90)
Throughout this month, we have reflected on the timeless guidance of the Qur'an and the Sunnah, and how the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ honoured women with dignity, justice, opportunity and responsibility. Long before these principles became global conversations, Islam affirmed women's rights to education, lawful work, ownership of wealth, inheritance and meaningful participation in society. As we conclude this campaign during the blessed month of Rabi' al-Awwal, let us not allow these lessons to end here. Let us honour the Prophetic legacy by supporting women who educate, nurture, lead, innovate, serve and strengthen our families, communities and economy. May we continue to build resilient homes, resilient communities and a resilient nation—guided by faith, justice and compassion.
When women are empowered by faith, they empower the nation.
Shukran for journeying with AMAL throughout this Women's Month.
May Allah ﷻ enable us all to continue the beautiful example of our beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.

Day 30 Continue the Prophetic Example

Allah says:
"Indeed, in the Messenger of Allah you have an excellent example for whoever has hope in Allah and the Last Day and remembers Allah often." (Qur'an 33:21)
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ transformed the status of women by restoring their dignity, affirming their rights and encouraging their contributions to society. His example is not only a part of history - it is a model for every generation. Women's empowerment is an ongoing responsibility. By promoting education, justice, opportunity and respect, we honour the Prophetic legacy and help build resilient families, thriving communities and a stronger nation. Let us continue to empower women through faith, just as our beloved Prophet ﷺ taught us.

Day 29 What Legacy Will You Leave?

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said: "When a person dies, their deeds come to an end except for three: ongoing charity, beneficial knowledge, or a righteous child who prays for them." (Muslim)
A meaningful legacy is not measured by what we own, but by the lives we touch. Every lesson taught, every child nurtured, every act of kindness, every business built with integrity and every person uplifted becomes part of our lasting impact.
Across generations, women have shaped the Ummah through faith, knowledge, service and compassion. Today's women continue that legacy by raising righteous families, educating future leaders, serving their communities and contributing to society with excellence.
What legacy are you building today that will benefit others tomorrow?

Day 28 Islam Elevated Women

Allah says: "And when the girl [who was] buried alive is asked, for what sin she was killed." (Qur'an 81:8–9) At a time when baby girls were buried alive and women were denied dignity, inheritance and independence, Islam transformed society. The Qur'an condemned female infanticide, affirmed women's right to inherit, own property, earn and manage wealth, seek knowledge, choose a spouse and be treated with justice and respect. Polygyny, once unrestricted, was limited to four wives and made conditional upon justice—a responsibility the Qur'an warns is difficult to fulfil. More than 1,400 years ago, Islam laid the foundation for the dignity, rights and empowerment of women. The Prophetic legacy continues to inspire women to contribute confidently to their families, communities and the nation.

Day 27 Building Resilient Communities

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said: "The most beloved people to Allah are those who are most beneficial to people." (Al-Mu'jam al-Awsat – Hasan)
Strong communities are built by people who serve others with sincerity and compassion. Across South Africa, countless Muslim women dedicate their time and talents to masājid, madāris, welfare organisations, humanitarian relief, healthcare, education, youth development and community upliftment. Their quiet service often goes unseen, yet its impact is felt by generations. Every act of service-whether mentoring a child, feeding a family, teaching a class or supporting those in need—is an investment in a stronger, more resilient community. When women serve with faith and purpose, they help build a nation founded on compassion, justice and hope.
