What is YOUR USP?
At a recent ladies’ networking initiative, SyStroom, we were challenged with this simple, but surprisingly difficult, question.
My Unique Selling Point? I had to dig deep…
And honestly?
Being a qualified architect was not my first answer.
After chatting to another lady and sharing a bit of my background and my career journey, she simply pointed out:
“You need to own the fact that being an architect gives you a unique perspective!”
That made me stop and think...
Practising architecture for 27 years taught me so much more than how to design homes.
A successful architect learns to put ego aside and TRULY listen.
To understand how families live.
How they move through a space.
What matters to them.
What they say… and often what they don’t say.
You learn to understand lifestyle.
Family dynamics.
Personal preferences.
Practical needs.
Emotional connection.
Subtle nuances that are not always spoken out loud.
For many years, I learnt to listen deeply to how people want to live.
Their needs and aspirations. Their likes and dislikes.
And that is when my real AHA moment came…
That skill did not stay behind when I left architecture.
Today, I use that same ability in real estate.
I listen deeply.
I ask the right questions.
I look beyond bedrooms and bathrooms.
Because buying or selling a home is never just a transaction.
It is deeply personal.
And perhaps THAT is my real USP…
An architect’s eye, yes.
But even more importantly - an architect’s ability to listen deeply, understand people, and help them make wise property decisions.
I truly understand that behind every property decision, there is a lifestyle (and often lifetime) story.
So.. if you are ready for that conversation
I am available. Unapologetically me.
Let’s Talk Property.
